1. Common Purpose. The IGTTC and its members share a common purpose, namely to promote green technology companies, generate sales leads and foster a networking environment conducive to growing each business. In addition to growing the bottom line, the IGTTC will become the center of learning about the new technologies of its members, requiring each sales specialist or representative to be capable to adequately, interestingly and convincingly explain each product or service to trade buyers and other interested parties who will visit the IGTTC. 2. Market Days. A company sales specialist or representative must be present on each Tuesday and Thursday from 10 AM to 6 PM, for Market Days, when the IGTTC will co-ordinate with institutions, organizations, associations and members of the trade buying public to visit the trade center. The IGTTC is operating five days per week, but the purpose of the Market Day is to guaranty to visitors that their questions and inquires will be attended to by specialists and ensure to members that a critical mass of interested parties will visit the IGTTC. Twice a week, 52 weeks a year, the IGTTC will promote the 104 Market Days in press, internet and trade publications. 3. Events and Trade Shows. On behalf of its members, the IGTTC organizes seminars, marketing conferences, workshops and other topical events with the world’s leading trade associations, buyers groups, investor groups, and universities. The purpose of these on-site meetings is to educate the trade buying public on innovations in green technology and introduce member firms to these potential leads. When possible, these events will be scheduled to coincide with Market Days and daily or weekly briefings of the expected visitor groups will be circulated on the trade floor. In addition, the IGTTC management will attempt to match the proper buyers with the proper sellers, adding value to its members by helping to make the introductions that are the pre-cursors to closing sales. The IGTTC will also plan and promote three annual multi-day trade shows, exclusive to its members. These trade shows will be promoted heavily to the trade buying industry and are scheduled for January, April and September. 4. Publicity. The goal of the IGTTC is to generate brand awareness and increase sales for its members. The full-time publicity effort will aim to publicize the trade center and its members, with the specifics at the discretion of the Chief Publicist, whose aim is to generate buzz that will lead to higher visitor traffic to benefit all members. Any newsworthy items (new product launches, major trade sales, high-profile hires, etc.) from member companies should be submitted to the Chief Publicist as early as possible. Publicity will take the form of general and specific press releases, outreach to print and online newspapers, blogs, newsletters and other media, focusing on the IGTTC launch, then its weekly events, then its proprietary trade shows. The success of the IGTTC is dependent on how successfully we help promote members to raise the awareness in the eyes of potential trade buyers, with the ultimate goal of generating leads and increasing sales. Our success is dependent upon yours. 5. Office Services. Each member will have access to office services provided directly by the IGTTC as well as the possibility of acquiring additional services through the other businesses operating independently elsewhere at the TradeCenter128 green building facility, including various office and service companies, as well as coffee shops, a new high-end restaurant (opening January, 2010), and a bank branch. Services provided directly by IGTTC include a central phone operator, who will refer calls to member cell phones, a private mailbox for accepting regular mail and a shared desk receptionist to accept larger packages, in addition to conference and meeting rooms for discussing trade-related business. Other services, including meeting space for large groups, complicated print jobs and other specific office needs and other general requests can be arranged separately with the IGTTC. 6. Showroom. Each member shall be assigned an individual glass-walled showroom on the Trade Center floor, designed for maximum exposure to visitors and ease of use for sales specialists and representatives. Each showroom shall be furnished with a modern table and two comfortable chairs for meeting with trade buyers and interested parties; a flat-screen television to display promotional videos of member products or services and with installed video conference capabilities; flat wall space to display member promotional and presentation materials; and additional space for a product samples or scale models. In addition, a promotional sign must be posted with the name and logo of the member on the external wall of the showroom. All efforts will be made by the IGTTC to make showrooms comfortable and for conducting business. 7. Sportsmanship. Each member enrolls in this membership program with the intent of raising the member company profile and increasing sales. The goal of a permanent trade center is to share access to the many groups of trade buyers and interested parties that are attracted by the aggregate selling power of all member companies involved, with the economies of scale in promotion raising the profile of the group more than would be possible by any individual member. It is expected that many sales leads will comparison shop among similar member companies and visit other showrooms. The IGTTC will make all efforts possible to encourage fairness and proper behavior and at no point will unsportsmanlike conduct be tolerated. IGTTC management will investigate any and all complaints among members, and will be the final arbiter of any and all disagreements or disputes, whose punishment could include expulsion from the program. Our goal is for all member companies to profit from this membership, expand brand awareness, grow sales and make more business. |
Many small to mid-size companies seeking to expand in the U.S. market often encounter roadblocks that can be circumvented with the proper expert advice. To help our member companies along the road to success, the IGTTC has identified many of the area’s top consultants and teams that can be made available to support your business.
